GC Cahors 2014
Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe asked for organic certification in 2012 after having applied the first principles of organic agriculture in 1990. Formerly devoted to lavender cultivation, the estate now cultivates 27 hectares of vines. One of the most important actors of the appellation Cahors.
This prestige wine made from Malbec, fermented and matured for 27 months in new oak barrels, has already won several awards. Despite the long wood ageing, black fruits dominate the bouquet, accompanied by toasty and spicy aromas. Similar flavours complete the full-bodied and well-structured taste on the palate, ending in a long final of roast and brioche aromas and smooth tannins. A well-designed wine.
Cèdre Héritage Cahors 2015 *
The wine paints a beautiful, typical image of the Malbec grape, with soft tannins, round taste and finesse, as well as a beautiful, elegant and fresh finish.
